PRESIDENT OF REPUBLIC OF CROATIA VISITS KFOR HEADQUARTERS

PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today, KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta welcomed the President of Republic of Croatia, H.E. Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic, at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters.

General Miglietta and President Kitarovic discussed the overall situation in Kosovo and the latest security developments in the region.

They agreed on the importance of the role of KFOR acting impartially as third security responder, in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement, for all the people of Kosovo.

The meeting was also an opportunity for General Miglietta to emphasize the high professionalism of the Croatian soldiers in accomplishing KFOR’s mandate.

Currently, Croatian Armed Forces service-members are deployed mainly in Camp Bondsteel with Helicopter assets. Other Croatian soldiers are part of KFOR HQ Staff in Camp "Film City”.

Additionally, President Kitarovic confirmed that "Croatia is fully committed to maintaining stability in South-East Europe and it will continue to contribute to KFOR for a democratic and peaceful Kosovo”.
