OPERATIONAL RESERVE FORCES (ORF) IN THEATRE RECOGNITION, 10 NOVEMBER 2016


Pristina, 10th November 2016.

On 10 November, the Commander of the Operational Reserve Forces (ORF) will pay an initial visit to KFOR.

The ORFs are a number of manoeuvre battalions having adequate Combat Support (CS) and Combat Service Support (CSS) capabilities and they are provided by Troop Contributing Nations (TCN). They can be stationed in their peacetime locations or near the Area Of Operation.

ORF main task, in this function, is to be ready to deploy and intervene in a speedy manner when and where deemed necessary.

The purpose of this visit is to conduct a preliminary recce and discuss the current situation with the KFOR leadership.

KFOR strengths and capabilities remain unchanged and such does its commitment, aiming to provide a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all the people in Kosovo.
