NEW YEARS EVE WITH KFOR TROOPS IN CAMP NOTHING HILL

PRISTINA, 31st December 2016. DCOMKFOR, Brigadier General Christian RIENER, spent New Year’s Eve with the US troops in Camp Nothing Hill, North of Kosovo, in Leposavic Municipality.

During the visit, DCOMKFOR visited the camp, was updated on the current activities and expressed appreciation for the high level of efficiency and commitment of the soldiers currently deployed in this base. DCOMKFOR had the opportunity to speak to the troops individually and feel the pulse of their perceptions in this New Year ’s Eve.

Many of the US soldiers in Nothing Hill, paying the first tour of duty abroad, arrived last November and are highly motivated to support, with their daily work, the local population.

KFOR, with its personnel serving in this forward operating base on a rotational basis, ensures safety and security in the region.

These KFOR troops, fulfilling their mission every single day of the year, show full commitment even during holiday’s periods, when they are away from their Countries and families. Their presence here is the valuable contribution that KFOR gives to the normalisation of life conditions in the Kosovo region and for the well-being of all peoples of Kosovo.
