NEW POLISH FIELD HOUSE IN BREZOVICA
Brezovica, Kosovo. 11 th October 2016. DCOM KFOR, BG Christian Riener,
presided over the opening ceremony of a new Field House for the LMT, under Polish
Command, based at Brezovica. The event was attended by JRD-S Commander,
Lt.Col. Slawomir Kaczor, Police’ Commissioners of the regional Police and the
Mayors of the municipalities of Kacanik, Strpce, Hani and Elezit.
The Polish Contingent Commander, Lt.Col Jarsolaw Radzimierski, highlighted the
importance of their effort and hard work to improve the stabilization and the freedom
of movement in Kosovo. He also thanked MNBG-E Commander Col. Ros L.
Gammon for logistic support provided from "Bondsteel” base.
The JRDs, operating with non-kinetic assets named Liaison and Monitoring Teams
(LMTs), provide KFOR with a ‘situational awareness’, through a liaison activity with
the local institutions, International Organizations and especially with the local
population. They conduct daily monitoring activities in order to get the ‘pulse’ of
economic, social and the political situation.
