MULTINATIONAL BATTLE GROUP WEST DONATION TO GJAKOVA/DAKOVICA HOSPITAL

GJAKOVA / DAKOVICA, Kosovo. The Italian contingent of the Multinational Battle Group West (MNBG-W) donated medical equipment in favor of the "Isa Grezda” hospital in Gjakova/Dakovica municipality, in the west of Kosovo.

The CIMIC Cell of MNBG-W delivered to the director of the hospital, nine hospital beds for patients and sixteen hospital cribs which will contribute to improve the hospital accommodation capabilities.

The donation is part of a broader civil-military cooperation program, carried out by the Italian contingent stationed in Belo Polje, involving local authorities and humanitarian organizations operating in the area in order to contribute to the development and the stabilization of the area.

The hospital provides basic medical care to the local population through the clinics such as emergency and internal medicine as well as pediatrics and genecology. The new equipment will improve the hospitalization of more than hundred patients and newborns in the pediatric and genecology clinics per year.
