MULTINATIONAL BATTLE GROUP EAST TRANSFER OF AUTHORITY


PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today, KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, presided over the change of command ceremony in Camp Bondsteel to mark the handover of command within Multinational Battle Group East (MNBG-E).

The ceremony, marking the hand over between the US Army Colonel Vernon H. Simpson and Colonel Ros L. Gammon IV, was attended by representatives of the international community and local authorities.

During his speech, General Miglietta expressed his congratulations for the results achieved by the men and women commanded by Colonel Simpson, who have performed their tasks in an outstanding way, demonstrating professionalism and competence. He also thanked all MNBG-E service-members for their strong cooperation and commitment to KFOR. He remarked how this unit adhered to the motto of "Shaping the Change” and how that helped them to accomplishing their mission.

"No commander can fulfil his duties without highly motivated soldiers”, said General Miglietta, "I am proud of the work you have done, and will do, shoulder to shoulder, contributing to the success of the mission”.

Multinational Battle Group East is a KFOR manoeuvre Unit led by the United States composed of service members coming from the Unites States, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Turkey, Romania.
