MNISR-Bn CHANGE OF COMMAND CEREMONY

Pristina, Novembr 25th , 2016. Today the COMKFOR, Major General Giovanni FUNGO, presided over the Multinational Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Battalions (MNISR-Bn) transfer of authority. The transfer took place between the outgoing commander Lt. Col. Antonio Bloise, and the incoming commander Lt. Col. Leonardo Andreotti. The ceremony had a large turnout that included the principal unit and a variety of other KFOR representatives.

In his speech, COMKFOR expressed his appreciation for the results achieved by the Battalion under the command of Lt. Col. Antonio Bloise. COMKFOR recognized their outstanding ability to perform their duties with reliability, professionalism and great attention to detail. They’ve demonstrated a deep commitment to KFOR and should consider their deployment a true success.

The Multinational ISR Battalion is an Italian led Multinational unit with an Austrian component within its Bn HQ. During the six month tour of duty, the Battalion provided a timely and accurate flow of information and delivered consistent and valuable situational awareness.

Major General Fungo welcomed Lt. Col. Andreotti into the "KFOR family” and wished him a very successful tour of duty.
