MEMBER OF THE GERMAN PARLIAMENT VISITS KFOR HQ

PRISTINA, Kosovo. This afternoon, KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, received Mr. Norbert Brackmann, member of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Germany, at KFOR Headquarters.

The latest developments in the security and social situation in Kosovo as well as in the wider Balkans region were discussed during the meeting.

General Miglietta praised the professionalism of the German contingent deployed across Kosovo as part of Multinational Battle Group East (MNBG-E), the Medical Task Force in Prizren, in the South of the region, and as members of KFOR HQ Staff too. He also expressed his appreciation for the German support to NATO Liaison Advisory Team, as a valuable partner for KFOR.

General Miglietta and Mr. Brackmann agreed on the importance of the role of KFOR in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement throughout Kosovo under the United Nations Security Council resolution 1244.
