KOSOVO: THE ITALIAN CONTINGENT DONATES TEXTILE EQUIPMENT TO GORAZDEVAC’S COMMUNITY

Peje/Pec September 20, 2016 - This morning the civil-military cooperation branch belonging to Multinational Battle Group West (MNBG-W), the Italian lead unit based on 62nd Infantry Regiment "Sicilia," donated textile materials to the NGO "Briga" that operates in the municipality of Peja/Pec.

This organization, founded in 2002, is a very active and important for the Serbian community of Gorazdevac village due to its direct commitment to affirm the social role of women and to implement the inter-cultural dialogue.

The equipment, donated by the Italian KFOR contingent, will implement some projects which involve a number of working women in the manufacturing textile sector belonging to the Gorazdevac community.

This confirms the great mutual trust and commitment between KFOR contingent and the local population of Kosovo.
Today's activity is part of a broader civil-military cooperation program, carried out by the Italian contingent stationed in Belo Polje, which involves the local authorities and humanitarian organizations operating in the area with the aim of contributing to the development and stabilization of Kosovo.
