KOSOVO: ITALIAN MILITARY CONTINGENT CONTINUES OPERATIONAL TRAINING


The Multinational Battle Group West training with the 185 th Regiment RAO. 

PEJE/PEC, August 15, 2016 - In recent days the Italian contingent of the Multinational Battle Group West (MNBG-W), Italian led unit based on the 62 nd Infantry Regiment "Sicily" in Catania, has completed the "advanced" operative shooting training, with the technical support of highly qualified personnel belonging to the 185 th Regiment RAO (Reconnaissance and Target Acquisition).

The course, aimed at increasing the operator ability in weapon handling and advanced operative shooting, moving on foot and on vehicles, was held by a senior NCO instructor. The training was attended by Officers, NCOs and soldiers, employed in Kosovo within the Italian maneuver coy. The coy, as part of the MNBG-W unit, provides foot and vehicle patrols in order to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement in its area of responsibility.

The participants were also trained on techniques such as stress management, weapons malfunctioning procedures and operational transition from short ranges to long range weapons. The activity ended successfully, implementing advanced professional skills for the Italian soldiers deployed in Kosovo.
