In the end of September joint training, exercise "Quick Response 2016” will take place in the Manjača region, near Banja Luka. This exercise represents an opportunity to integrate training and planning competencies between KFOR and EUFOR, which will enhance their ability to rapidly deploy, when called upon.

The exercise will be conducted with over 500 Soldiers from EUFOR, including the United Kingdom, Austria, Hungary and KFOR forces from the Portuguese/Hungarian Tactical Reserve Company (KTM). The training will be conducted in close cooperation with BiH authorities.

These soldiers will have the opportunity to expand their knowledge and experience in many fields, including Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Non-combatant Extraction Operations (NEO).

Maj Gen Fungo, COMKFOR, announced, "I am delighted to see that after many months of planning and coordination between KFOR and EUFOR, troops will be a part of a regional exercise of this type. This exercise will undoubtedly challenge all participating troops and staff, but this is precisely what we want; that the men and women of KFOR, whom it is my privilege to command, are actively trained and rehearsed for any potential deployment now and in the future. It remains one of the key strengths of KFOR and NATO that we have consistently demonstrated the excellent accomplishment that can be achieved amongst all the partner nations through a spirit of dedicated and active cooperation.”

KFOR is comprised of a well-balanced force, both kinetic and non-kinetic, which are provided by 31 Nations.
