COMKFOR INSPECTION OF KTM TROOPS AT CAMP BUTMIR

Today at camp Butmir in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) COMKFOR Major general Giovanni Fungo inspected troops of the KFOR KTM Battalion who are participating in Operational Rehearsal Level 2 (OPREH L2) as part of the EUFOR led Exercise "Quick Response 2016” which is being conducted between 28 September and 06 October 2016 in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). KTM is deployed in Camp Butmir since 29 September, prior to moving to the actual exercise area.

COMKFOR was met by the EUFOR Commander Major General Friedrich Schrötter, and afterwards both respective Commanders attended a brief where they were given a full update on the progress of the exercise by both EUFOR Staff officers and by Lt. Col. Manuel de Almeida Sousa, the KTM Battalion Commander.
Afterwards, Major General Giovanni Fungo gave a short speech to KFOR troops emphasizing the commitment and value of KTM soldiers and the fantastic opportunity that this joint exercise represents to improve their training and efficiency; through their participation in Exercise "Quick Response 2016”.
