KFOR MEETING WITH SENIOR OFFICIALS OF ICRC

PRISTINA, Kosovo. The Head of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Kosovo, Mr. Agim Gashi, the ICRC Senior Delegate to NATO and Armed Forces in Europe, Mr. Andrew Bell, along with Brigadier General Reinhard Kloss, representative of Joint Force Command Naples, had a meeting with KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, at the Kosovo Force Headquarters.

The current security and humanitarian situation in Kosovo, as well as in the wider Balkans region, were the main topics discussed. They agreed on the importance of cooperation and coordination between the local Institutions and International Organizations, in handling humanitarian crisis.

Mr. Gashi remarked on the important role of KFOR for monitoring the migration flow situation and maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement throughout Kosovo.

General Miglietta praised the commitment of the International Committee of the Red Cross, in Kosovo, in dealing with the issue of missing persons.
