KFOR DONATION TO JANJEVO COMMUNITY


9 JUL 2016 PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today the KFOR Multinational Specialized Unit "Carabinieri” completed a donation project in favour of Janjevo Community, in the Municipality of Lipjan, located in the central part of the region.
 
The delivery of the materials took place at the presence of the Ambassador of Croatia to Kosovo, H.E. Ms Marija Kapitanovic, Kosovo Force Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta and the MSU Commander, Colonel Paolo Coletta. Carabinieri contingent presented food, clothes and shoes as well as toys, drawing and painting tools to the small community of Janjevo, consisting mainly of Croats.
 
The local representatives thanked Carabinieri for the donation and highlighted the benefits this donation will have for the children.
 
"This important donation gives a smile to these children and their families”, said the Ambassador of Croatia, "KFOR confirm its impartial role in the region for all the ethnicities”.
 
The activity is part of the initiatives carried out by KFOR in favour of local people without religious, cultural and ethnic distinctions. KFOR acts impartially as third security responder, in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement, for all the people of Kosovo.
