KFOR COMMANDER VISITS EUFOR BiH HEADQUARTERS

SARAJEVO, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today, KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, met with EUFOR Commander, Major General Friedrich Schrötter, in Sarajevo.

The visit provided an opportunity for Major General Miglietta to congratulate Major General Schrötter on his recent appointment as EUFOR Commander. During the meeting the high ranking officers discussed the general security situation in their operational areas and in the wider Balkans region.

They also discussed the issues of the migration crisis, religious extremist elements and foreign fighters, focusing on their impact in the region. It was agreed that the relationship between KFOR and EUFOR is excellent with both Headquarters cooperating closely to achieve mutual support in their respective missions.
