KFOR COMMANDER RECEIVES UNHCR OFFICIAL IN KOSOVO

PRISTINA, Kosovo. KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, received at NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina, Chief of UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Office in Kosovo, Mr. N. L. Narasimha Rao.

The main topics discussed during the meeting were, amongst others, the contingency plan of the United Nations Kosovo Team (UNKT), increased need to keep the borders closely monitored as they may be affected by the refugee crisis in South Eastern Europe, and the current overall situation in Kosovo with reference to returns and reintegration.

General Miglietta and Mr. Rao both agreed on the importance of cooperation and sharing information with local institutions.
