KFOR COMMANDER RECEIVES THE COMMANDER OF THE 2ND MECHANIZED INFANTRY DIVISION OF GREECE

PRISTINA, 15th December 2016. Today, Major General Giovanni FUNGO received Major General Dimitrios GLIMIS, Commander of the 2 nd mechanized infantry Division of Greece, at KFOR Headquarters in Camp "Film City”.

During the meeting the high ranking Officers discussed the overall security situation in Kosovo and the considerable contribution provided by the Greek contingent to KFOR.

COMKFOR had also the opportunity to express appreciation for the important role, the professionalism and the outstanding contribution of Greek service members in KFOR. Currently, Greece is an important contributing Nation to KFOR with soldiers mostly deployed as camp security in the Headquarter and operating as Liaison and Monitoring Teams (LMT), as part of Joint Regional Detachment North (JRD-N).
