KFOR COMMANDER RECEIVES THE CHIEF OF THE PORTUGUESE ARMY


PRISTINA, 12th December 2016. Today, Major General Giovanni Fungo received the Chief of the Portuguese Army, General José Rovisco Duarte, at the KFOR Headquarters in Camp "Film City”.

During the meeting, the high ranking Officers discussed the overall security situation in Kosovo and the considerable contribution provided by the Portuguese contingent to KFOR in maintaining a stable level of security throughout Kosovo.

Currently, Portuguese troops in Kosovo are mostly deployed in the Kfor Tactical Reserve Manoeuvre Battalion (KTM) stationed at Camp "Slim Lines” in Pristina.

KTM is specifically trained in Crowd and Riot Control (CRC) operations and provides CRC training to all Kfor units and can be deployed anywhere in the theatre of operations and perform any task or mission for unlimited period of time, being completely indipendent
