KFOR COMMANDER MEETS CHIEF OF JOINT OPERATIONS OF THE SWEDISH ARMED FORCES

PRISTINA, Kosovo. This afternoon Kosovo Force Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, met the Chief of Joint Operations of the Swedish Armed Forces, Rear Admiral Anders Grenstad.

Throughout the meeting, the high ranking Officers discussed the overall situation in Kosovo, in particular focusing on security aspects.

They agreed on the importance of KFOR’s role acting impartially as third security responder, in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement, for all the people of Kosovo.

General Miglietta remarked that KFOR’s mission remains unchanged and any change to KFOR’s future force posture will be based on careful analysis of the conditions on the ground.

Admiral Grenstad agreed with this assessment and was impressed by KFOR’s ability to handle the complex situation in Kosovo.
