KFOR COMMANDER FAREWELL MEETING WITH ABBOT SAVA

PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, paid a farewell visit to Deçan/Dečane Monastery where he was welcomed by Abbot Sava.

Father Sava remarked the KFOR ongoing role, as first responder, in protection of the monastery, a unique cultural and religious site, and the outstanding relationship with KFOR troops, operating in Kosovo since 1999.

During the meeting, as the final official engagements, Abbot Sava noted the continuing commitment of KFOR in supporting peace, cooperation and progress for all the people of Kosovo.

At the end of the meeting, General Miglietta assured Father Sava of KFOR’s ongoing support, throughout the region, in helping transform challenges into opportunities, for the success of all the people of Kosovo.
