KFOR COM MEETS NATO’S NEW MILITARY LIAISON OFFICER IN BELGRADE

PRISTINA, Kosovo. Kosovo Force Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, received today the newly appointed NATO Military Liaison Officer (MLO) in Belgrade, Italian Brigadier General Cesare Marinelli and his predecessor, Brigadier General Lucio Batta.

The visit, at Camp "Film City” in KFOR Headquarters, was an opportunity to discuss the latest developments in the security situation in Kosovo as well as the wider Balkans region.
General Miglietta congratulated General Marinelli on his new prestigious appointment and thanked General Batta for his commitment during his service in Belgrade.

Brigadier General Marinelli is the seventh Chief of the NATO MLO Belgrade since its establishment in December 2006. The Office facilitates Serbian cooperation with NATO under the Partnership for Peace program. It also supports Serbia’s efforts in matters of defence sector reform and provides assistance to NATO’s public diplomacy activities.
