PRISTINA, Kosovo. Transfer of Authority Ceremony between Brigadier General Janson D. Boyles and Brigadier General Patricia M. Anslow was held in Camp Film City, KFOR Headquarters in Pristina. After a one-year tour, General Boyles has handed over the responsibility of the KFOR Chief of Staff (COS) position to his replacement. KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta attended the event.

 

During his speech, he remarked General Boyles’ ability to perform his duties in a complex and challenging environment under KFOR motto "Shaping the Change”.

 

""I personally thank you for your outstanding professionalism, your exceptional commitment and your ability to pursue KFOR objectives. I have seen many different faces over a year transition and I could not have asked for a better group of personalities”, said Brigadier General Boyles during his speech.

 

The ceremony concluded with the awarding of the NATO "non-article 5” peace-keeping medal by COM KFOR to General Boyles and of the Hungarian Service medal of Merit by Brigadier General Ferenc Korom, KFOR Deputy Commander. Brigadier General Anslow takes responsibility after serving as Commander, Land Component Command, Arkansas Army National Guard, Joint Force Headquarters, North Little Rock, Arkansas and, dual-hat assignment, as Deputy Commanding General, Training Support Division (East), First United States Army.

 

She has now taken over as the new Chief of Staff for KFOR and is looking forward to the challenges the forthcoming year will bring.
