KFOR CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY

PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, KFOR Commander, marked the occasion of International Women’s Day in the company of the men and women of KFOR.

International Women’s Day is a worldwide event that celebrates women’s achievements from the political to the social, while calling for gender equality. It has been observed since the early 1900s and is now recognized each year on March 8.

"On the 8th of March, International Women’s Day, NATO and KFOR reaffirm their commitment to women’s rights and move forward with determination to defend human rights, the dignity and worth of the human person, and the equal rights of men and women in Kosovo”, Major General Miglietta said. He thanked the women and also the men that work in KFOR and highlighted that "our diversity is one of our greatest strengths”.
