KFOR BLOOD DRIVE AN ACT OF ALTRUISM FOR KOSOVO COMMUNITIES

PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today, at "Camp Slim Lines” in Pristina, Kosovo Force Medical branch partnered with the National Blood Transfusion Centre to host a blood donation clinic.

There has been a great interest expressed among KFOR members in blood donation and this is one way for members to reach out to the community.

The National Blood Transfusion Centre receives, on average, 100 requests for blood every day from hospitals across Kosovo. The need exceeds demand. Donations from this blood drive will be used by the blood centre for patients in need throughout the country.

KFOR Tactical Manoeuvre Battalion’s blood donation is a follow on from Camp Bondsteel’s donation earlier in the month.

Donating blood is one of the greatest acts of solidarity and altruism for all communities in Kosovo.
