JOINT EXERCISE FOR KFOR TROOPS, EXERCISE IRON EAGLE

KFOR manoeuver units constantly train to maintain their readiness in order to respond to any operational situation if called upon as 3rd responder.

On September 12th, the Multinational Battle Group-East (MNBG-E) and the Tactical Reserve Manoeuvre (KTM) units conducted a multinational training exercise, in a training area near Donji Zegovac, south of Pristina, to increase interoperability and demonstrated KFORs capability to deploy and respond rapidly.

The exercise is a culmination of a training plan that KFOR Units have been conducting and will include an air assault, squad and platoon level situational training as well as battalion and brigade mission command.

Companies belonging to the United States and to Portugal will conduct their training in order to demonstrate the capability to move anywhere within Kosovo and conduct any type of infantry operation, highlighting the interoperability among NATO partners with the aim to accomplish the KFOR mission, ensuring freedom of movement and maintaining a safe and secure environment Kosovo wide.
