JOINT EXERCISE AND COMBAT READINESS FOR KFOR TROOPS


KFOR maneuver units constantly train in order to maintain its readiness to respond to any operational situation if called upon. Multinational Battle Group- West (MNBG-W) troops recently conducted a joint training exercise in Pec in order to ensure their readiness.

The exercise was planned by MNBG-W Headquarters and included elements from the KTM (Kosovo Tactical Maneuver Battalion) alongside MNBG-W Austrian and Slovenian troops. The focus of this exercise was to practice troops in the restoration of freedom of movement and security. The exercise ended successfully and all the learning outcomes fixed during the preparation phase were achieved.

MMBG-W headquarters is the Italian led KFOR Command which is based in Camp Villaggio Italia, in the western part of Kosovo. MNBG-W contributing nations are: Austria, Italy, Moldavia and Slovenia. The focus of their operations is to ensure freedom of movement and the maintenance of a safe and secure environment in their area of operations.
