HANGING ROCK ON TUNNEL PORTAL AT ZUBIN POTOK

ZUBIN POTOK, Kosovo. KFOR’s Joint Logistic Support Group (JLSG) conducted an engineering operation to remove a large rock that was hanging over the entrance of a tunnel on the Main Suppy Route "HEN” near Zubin Potok.

JLSG’s role with KFOR is to ensure logistical and military engineering support for KFOR’s operations. The unit is made up of specialist personnel drawn from sixteen different nations.

KFOR’s JLSG Engineer team used specialist equipment to divide the rock into smaller pieces and remove the danger from the tunnel entrance. Joint Regional Detachment North (JRD-N) worked closely with the local municipality and Kosovo Police to ensure the operation was carried out in a safe manner with minimal traffic disruption.

KFOR’s engineer assets are sometimes used for specialist operations to ensure a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for the public and KFOR.
