GERMAN ARMED FORCES OFFICIALS VISIT KFOR

PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today, KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, received the Joint Forces Operations Commander of the German Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Erich Pfeffer, at KFOR Headquarters.

The latest developments in the security situation in Kosovo as well as in the wider Balkans region were discussed during the meeting.

General Miglietta praised the professionalism of the German contingent deployed across Kosovo and particularly as part of Multinational Battle Group East (MNBG-E), which also includes the Medical Task Force stationed in the South of the region in Prizren. He also noted the continued valuable contribution of the German contingent as members of KFOR HQ Staff too. He also expressed his appreciation for the German support to NATO Liaison Advisory Team, as a valuable partner for KFOR.

General Miglietta and General Pfeffer agreed on the importance of the role of KFOR in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement throughout Kosovo.
