GENERAL MIGLIETTA WELCOMES THE MOLDOVAN MINISTER OF DEFENCE

PRISTINA, Kosovo. KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, received today the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Moldova, Mr. Anatolie Salaru, at Camp "Film City”, NATO KFOR HQ in Pristina.

During the meeting, General Miglietta and Minister Salaru discussed the overall situation in Kosovo and the latest security developments in the region. They agreed that KFOR’s role is still important especially for the stability of Kosovo as well as the Western Balkans region.

General Miglietta had also the opportunity to express appreciation for the Moldova’s contribution to KFOR mission, highlighting the outstanding professionalism of the Moldovan service members.

Additionally, Minister Salaru met Moldovan contingent serving in KFOR, mainly deployed in Pec, as part of the Multinational Battle Group-West, with the key task in organizing and conducting Explosive Ordnance Disposal activities as well as patrolling through the region and providing the guard at the Decane Monastery.
