GENERAL MIGLIETTA MEETS EUFOR COMMANDER

PRISTINA, Kosovo. KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, received today the EUFOR Commander, Major General Friedrich Schrötter, at Camp "Film City”, NATO KFOR HQ in Pristina.

The high ranking Officers discussed the general security situation in their operational areas and in the wider Balkans region. They focused on migration crisis, religious extremist elements and the consequent impact of these issues in the region.

The meeting was also an opportunity to highlight the importance of training for troops operating on the ground and to consider future joint exercises in the Balkans.

It was agreed that the relationship between KFOR and EUFOR is excellent with both Headquarters cooperating closely to achieve mutual support in their respective missions.

Additionally, General Schrötter met Austrian contingent serving in KFOR, mainly deployed as part of the Multinational Battle Group-West, the Joint Logistics Support Group and as members of KFOR HQ staff.
