COMKFOR VISITS SYNCHRO PATROL CONDUCTED BY MULTINATIONAL BATTLE GROUP-EAST (MNBG-E) WITH SERBIAN ARMED FORCES IN NORTHERN KOSOVO

PRISTINA, 16 th December 2016.
COMKFOR, Maj. Gen. Giovanni Fungo, joined a synchronized patrol conducted by a US Army unit belonging to MNBG-E and a similar unit of the Serbian Armed Forces (SAF) along the Northen sector of the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL) in Leposavic Municipality.

The Serbian patrol came from the 3 Mechanized Brigade commanded by BG Mile Jelic, who took the occasion to meet COMKFOR on behalf of the Serbian Chief of Defence, LG DIKOVIC.

KFOR conducts periodical synchro patrols with SAF along the entire development of the ABL to ensure compliance with the responsibilities assigned by the U.N. Security Council Resolution 1244, to prevent illegal actions that could hamper the safe and secure environment in the entire Kosovar territory.
