COMKFOR MET US MILITARY REPRESENTATIVE

Pristina, November 18th , 2016. Today, COMKFOR, Major General Giovanni Fungo met with the Deputy Commander for United States Army Europe (USAREUR) Command, Major General John L. Gronski, at Camp "Film City”, NATO KFOR HQ. During the meeting the two discussed the overall situation in Kosovo with special focus on many current issues related to security in the area.

General Fungo highlighted the results of current operations and the positive impact on SASE and FOM in the area. Efforts continue throughout the region to drive enhanced progess toward stability.

General Fungo also spoke higly of the past and present performance of the U.S. Troops, both Active Duty and National Guard, in Kosovo. The U.S. still remains the largest contingent in KFOR and is the main body and anchor unit for the current Muntinational Battle Group - East.
