COMKFOR MEETS WITH LIEUTENANT COMMANDING GENERAL, C ARMY CORPS/NRDC-GR

PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, received Lieutenant General Alkiviadis Stefanis, Commanding General, "C” Army Corps/NRDC-GR, at KFOR Headquarters.

The high ranking Officers discussed the overall security situation in the Balkans region and the considerable contribution provided by the Greek contingent to KFOR, in particular maintaining a stable level of security awareness, throughout Kosovo, through the Liaison and Monitoring Teams, comprised in JRD-N, that keep a vital link with the population and help enhancing trust in KFOR.

General Miglietta remarked that KFOR’s mission remains unchanged and any future change to KFOR’s force posture will be based on careful assessment of the conditions on the ground. The majority of Greek soldiers are deployed as camp security at Camp Film City and KFOR HQ.
