Pristina, Kosovo. Today, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, received the Operational Command Deputy Commander of The Polish Armed Forces, Brigadier General Slawomir Wojciechowski, at KFOR Headquarters.

The high ranking Officers discussed the overall security situation in the Balkans region and the considerable contribution provided by the Polish contingent to KFOR, in maintaining a stable level of security throughout Kosovo.

General Miglietta remarked that KFOR’s mission remains unchanged and any future change to KFOR’s force posture will be based on careful analysis of the conditions on the ground.

Poland has been contributing troops to KFOR since 1999 and currently there are almost 250 personnel deployed in Kosovo. The majority of Polish soldiers are deployed with Multinational Battle Group East, with personnel also serving in the JRD South and KFOR HQ.
