COM KFOR MEETS WITH SENIOR OFFICER OF GERMAN ARMED FORCES

PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today, KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, received the Chief of the Joint Support Service of German Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Martin Schelleis, at KFOR Headquarters.

The meeting was an occasion to discuss the overall security situation in Kosovo and the considerable contribution provided by the German contingent to KFOR in maintaining a stable level of security throughout Kosovo.

Currently, German troops are deployed across Kosovo as part of Multinational Battle Group East (MNBG-E), the Medical Task Force in Prizren, in the South of the region, and also as members of KFOR HQ Staff. General Miglietta expressed his appreciation for the German support to the NATO Liaison Advisory Team, as a valuable partner of KFOR.

The high ranking Officers agreed on the importance of the role of KFOR in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement throughout Kosovo under the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
