PRISTINA, Kosovo. Kosovo Force Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, who will end his mandate in the forthcoming month, paid a farewell visit to the Ministry of Interior Affairs where he met Mr. Skender Hyseni, Minister of Interior Affairs, and Mr. Shpend Maxhuni, Kosovo Police (KP) General Director.
During the meeting, they discussed the overall situation in Kosovo, in particular focusing on security aspects.
They agreed on the importance of KFOR's role acting impartially as third security responder, in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement, for all the people of Kosovo.
Minister Hyseni highly valued the continuing contribution of KFOR in maintaining peace and security in Kosovo.
General Miglietta noted that cooperation between KFOR and the KP has been very good and took the opportunity to express his appreciation of the KP's role, as 1st Responder within Kosovo, and also the high degree of professionalism that is displayed by the KP in carrying out their duties impartially, on a daily basis.
"Kosovo Police commitment contributes to the normalization process and the safe environment of the region", said General Miglietta.
