COM KFOR MEETS WITH GERMAN CHIEF OF DEFENCE OF GERMAN ARMED FORCES

Pristina, 19th December 2016. KFOR Commander, Major General Giovanni Fungo, met today the Chief of Defence of German Armed Forces, General Volker Wieker, at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina.

The meeting was an occasion to discuss the overall security situation in Kosovo and the considerable contribution provided by the German contingent to KFOR in maintaining a stable level of security throughout Kosovo.

General Fungo expressed his appreciation for the German support.

The high ranking Officers agreed on the importance of the role of KFOR in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement throughout Kosovo under the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244.
