COM KFOR MEETS TURKISH CHIEF OF THE ARMY

PRISTINA, Kosovo. Kosovo Force (KFOR) Commander, General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, met today the Turkish Chief of the Army, General Salih Zeki Colak, at Camp "Film City” in KFOR Headquarters.

The meeting was an opportunity for General Miglietta to acknowledge the professional and considerable contribution that Turkey has made to KFOR. The Turkish contingent continues to play a key role in ensuring a safe and secure environment in Kosovo. Turkish troops operate mostly in Joint Regional Detachment South as lead nation, in KFOR Headquarters and in the Multinational Battle Group East.

COM KFOR and the Turkish Chief of the Army agreed on the importance of KFOR’s contribution, as third responder in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement throughout Kosovo.
