COM KFOR MEETING WITH KOSOVO SECURITY FORCES MINISTER

PRISTINA, Kosovo. This morning Kosovo Force Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, received Kosovo Security Forces Minister, Mr. Haky Demolli, at KFOR Headquarters.

General Miglietta holds regular meetings with regional security stake-holders as part of KFOR’s comprehensive approach to the overall situation in the region. It was an opportunity to discuss safety and security matters in Kosovo and the cooperation between KFOR and KSF. They agreed on the importance of KFOR’s efforts in contributing to maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement throughout all Kosovo.

Minister Demolli expressed his gratitude to General Miglietta for the dedication of KFOR in the service of stability in Kosovo.

General Miglietta used this opportunity to praise the Kosovo Security Force for their professionalism and their commitment, especially in EOD tasks and in Search and Rescue Operations.

NATO currently supports the development of KSF in the framework of their original mission and mandate, through NATO liaison and advisory team.
