CIMIC ACTIVITIES OF MULTINATIONAL BATTLE GROUP-WEST IN THE WEST OF KOSOVO


Continues the commitment of MNBG-W Italian contingent in civilian-military cooperation activities in support of the local population.
Kline/Klina, 26 September 2016 - Multinational Battle Group West (MNBG-W), completed last week a number of projects to support western local communities of Kosovo.

MNBG-W has financed the replacement of windows at the elementary and junior high multiethnic "Nene Tereza" school in the village of Budisalc, Klina municipality. The school has about 115 students belonging to the Albanian, Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians ethnic groups and employs 13 teachers including 7 women.

The restructuring will increase the number of class rooms allowing a higher number of children to attend school in better conditions than before

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Deputy Mayor of Kline / Klina, Enver Berisha, Mr Dode Grabanica, director of the school and a MNBG-W representative.

A further donation of textile material was made in favor of the non-governmental organization "FANA" that operates in the Municipality of Peja. This organization has been for a long time committed to promoting the integration of women in society through the increase of women at work.

The Italian contingent’s projects are carried out closely cooperation with local institutions, and are clear evidence of KFOR’s commitment is In favor of all the Kosovo people with neutrality and impartiality aimed to support the strengthening of peace in Kosovo.
