CANADIAN PARLIAMENT REPRESENTATIVE VISITS KFOR HEADQUARTERS

PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, KFOR Commander, was pleased to host a visit by Canadian Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ms. Pamela Goldsmith-Jones, at Camp Film City.

The visit provided the opportunity to discuss the overall situation in Kosovo, in particular focusing on security aspects. They agreed on the significant progress reached at Brussels dialogue level. General Miglietta emphasized the professionalism and the commitment of Canadian soldiers, as members of HQ Staff, in endeavouring to ensure KFOR’s mandate.

Ms. Pamela Goldsmith-Jones confirmed that Canada, committed to KFOR mission since 1999, will continue to foster the stability process in Kosovo and to sustain KFOR for a stable and secure environment in the region.
