ADMIRAL HOWARD VISITS KFOR


13 JUL 2016 PRISTINA, Kosovo. The newly appointed Allied Joint Force Naples Commander, U.S. Navy Admiral Michelle Howard, paid a two-day visit to KFOR HQ at Camp "Film City” in Pristina, where she was welcomed by Kosovo Force Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta.
 
During the visit Admiral Howard were briefed by the General Miglietta and the international KFOR HQ staff on the latest development in the current security and political situation in Kosovo as well as the wider Balkans region.
 
Admiral Howard emphasized the importance of KFOR in the delicate and complex context of the Balkans and the need to continue to accomplish the mission promoting progress in the region.
 
KFOR’s mission remains unchanged and any future change to KFOR’s force posture will be based on careful analysis of the conditions on the ground.
 
As part of the visit Admiral Howard met the ambassadors of France, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom and United States in Kosovo as well as the Head of the United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), H.E. Mr Zahir Tanin.
