KFOR COMMANDER GREETS BISHOP TEODOSIJE


PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, paid a farewell visit to Gracanica Monastery where he was welcomed by the Bishop of Raska-Prizren, Teodosije Šibalić.
 
During the meeting, as the final official engagement, Bishop Teodosije noted the continuing commitment of KFOR in supporting peace, cooperation and progress for all the people of Kosovo. They agreed on the importance of all the religious communities in promoting peace and cultivating respect amongst them in the region.
 
Additionally, Bishop Teodosije mentioned the celebration of the "Holy Synod” of the Serbian Orthodox Church hold in May. "The smooth running of the event”, which has not taken place in Kosovo since 1999, certainly constituted a positive signal for the normalization process”, Bishop Teodosije pointed out.
 
At the end of the meeting, Bishop Teodosije expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the impartial and effective commitment of KFOR in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all the people of the region.
