PRISTINA, Kosovo. Today, Kosovo Force Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, received the Director of Strategy and Operations Department of Germany Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Dieter Warnecke, at KFOR Headquarters.
The latest developments in the security situation in Kosovo, as well as in the wider Balkans region, were discussed during the meeting.
General Miglietta, who will end his mandate in the forthcoming month, remarked that KFOR's mission remains unchanged and any future change to KFOR's force posture will be based on careful analysis of the security conditions on the ground.
Additionally, KFOR Commander praised the professionalism of the German contingent deployed across Kosovo and particularly as part of Multinational Battle Group East (MNBG-E), which also includes the Medical Task Force stationed in the South of the region, in Prizren.
Both Generals agreed on the importance of the role of KFOR in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement throughout Kosovo.
