US AMBASSADOR TO KOSOVO VISITS KFOR

27th January 2015. Yesterday KFOR Commander, Major General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, had a meeting with the US Ambassador to Kosovo, H.E. Tracey Ann Jacobson, at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina/Prishtinë.

During H.E. Jacobson’s first visit to KFOR Headquarters, she discussed with General Figliuolo many topics related to the latest developments of security and the socio-economic situation in Kosovo. It was also highlighted the effective role of KFOR in maintaining a safe and secure environment and the freedom of movement, which allows for the development of better social and economic conditions.

During the meeting General Figliuolo underlined the importance of the support of the US contingent that consists of about 700 soldiers, deployed mostly in the Multinational Battle Group East, based in "Camp Bondsteel”, and in the KFOR HQ Staff.

COM KFOR expressed his appreciation for the contribution of the USA, emphasizing the professionalism and commitment of its troops on the ground since 1999 as part of the international stabilization force following the end of the war.

Ambassador Jacobson stressed that the USA is continuing to support KFOR mission as one of the most important contributors.
