THE GENERAL DIRECTOR OF KOSOVO POLICE AND THE KOSOVO DIRECTOR OF BORDER POLICE DEPARTMENT VISIT KFOR

14th January 2015. Today, KFOR Commander, Major General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, welcomed the General Director of the Kosovo Police, Mr. Shpend Maxhuni, and the Director of the Kosovo Border Police Department, Colonel Shaban Guda, to an official meeting at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina/Prishtinë.

General Figliuolo expressed his deep appreciation for the results achieved in the contrast against crime hoping for a greater synergy between the various institutions responsible for Kosovo’s security. During the meeting, they also discussed about the overall security situation in Kosovo underlining the importance of a regional approach in the management of the illegal immigration.

This meeting follows other similar ones that General Figliuolo has held with other regional political and military stake-holders in a comprehensive approach to the Balkans’ security situation.
