THE AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF FRANCE TO KOSOVO  VISITS KFOR

12th January 2015. KFOR Commander, Major General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, had a meeting this morning with the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Kosovo, H.E. Maryse Daviet, at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina/Prishtinë.

General Figliuolo discussed with H.E. Daviet the overall situation in Kosovo focusing on recent internal developments. They highlighted the effective role of KFOR, in maintaining a safe and secure environment and the freedom of movement, which allows for the development of better social and economic conditions.

This meeting was also an opportunity for KFOR Commander to express his deepest sympathy to the French people after the vile attack which recently took place in Paris. As the General said: "this is an intolerable attack on the values of freedom of speech and tolerance that support democratic societies. On behalf of my fellow soldiers, I express my sincere condolences to the families of the victims, as well as all the French people”.
