THE AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF BULGARIA TO KOSOVO VISITS KFOR


Pristina/Prishtinë, 12th February 2015. Today KFOR Commander, Major General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Kosovo, H.E. Nedialtcho Dimitrov Dantchev, at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters.

General Figliuolo discussed with H.E. Dantchev many topics related to the latest developments of security and the socio-economic situation in Kosovo. They agreed on the importance of a comprehensive approach which involved the representatives of the International Community in order to achieve normalization of society, through dialogue and cooperation in the Balkans area.

In that regard, KFOR Commander highlighted the fact that KFOR will keep cooperating and assisting the United Nations, the European Union, the other international actors and continue to support, as third responder, Kosovo Police and EULEX in their activities.

Finally, General Figliuolo thanked H.E. Dantchev for the professionalism of the Bulgarian Armed Forces, for their dedication and support of the mission in Kosovo. Currently, Bulgarian participation consists of staff officers at KFOR Headquarters in Pristina.
