SLOVENIAN MINISTER OF DEFENCE VISITS KFOR


Pristina, Kosovo. KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta received today the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia, H.E. Mrs Andreja Katič, at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters.

General Miglietta and Minister Katič discussed the latest development in the current safety and political situation in Kosovo and they agreed that the level of security throughout Kosovo is considerably increased.

The meeting was also an opportunity for General Miglietta to emphasize the professionalism and the high skill set of the Slovenian soldiers in accomplishing KFOR mandate.

Currently around 300 Slovenian service members are deployed across Kosovo as part of Multinational Battle Groups, Liaison and Monitoring Teams belonging to the Joint Regional Detachment North and Centre, helicopter assets and as members of KFOR HQ Staff too.

Minister Katič confirmed that "Slovenia is fully committed to keep the stability in Kosovo and it will continue to sustain KFOR for a democratic and peaceful Kosovo”.
