SLOVENIAN AMBASSADOR VISIT KFOR HQ


Pristina, Kosovo. KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta met today with H.E. Miljan Majhen, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenian to Kosovo, at Camp "Film City” NATO KFOR Headquarters in Pristina.

General Miglietta and Ambassador Majhen discussed the overall situation in Kosovo and the recent developments in the western Balkan region. The meeting was also an opportunity for General Miglietta to demonstrate to the Ambassador the effectiveness of Slovenian contribution in ensuring a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement in Kosovo, according to UN resolution 1244.

Currently more than 300 Slovenian troops are deployed across Kosovo as part of Multinational Battle Groups, Joint Regional Detachment North and Centre, helicopter assets and as members of KFOR HQ Staff too.

Ambassador Majhen congratulated with General Miglietta for the new prestigious appointment as the 20th KFOR Commander and he confirmed the commitment of Slovenia in support of KFOR mission. In the morning General Miglietta met with the Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany in Kosovo, Her Excellency Angelika Viets, at the German Embassy in Pristina.
